View Full Version : How rife is this game with hacks?

I was at the sunken ship, was about midway on the lower deck and spied a guy out by one of the blue storage containers on the ground. I aimed and started popping him. He shot me with a shotgun and killed me with 1 shot. Is this a hack or just messed up gun physics? I know a shot gun is not that effective at that range so is it a game thing? I'm tired of unloading a clip from my heavy machine gun to be killed by a guy with a pistol. I also know that at my advanced age my reflexes aren't what they used to be and I tend to run and gun alot but sometime, come on nobody is that accurate.

Disclaimer: I have never played this game.
From all of the discussion here, it seems that a shotgun loaded with the right kind of ammo is a godly weapon capable of destruction at long range.
So it's probably not a cheat so much as a non sequitur on the part of the game's designers (as far as weapons logic is concerned)

The default pump and neosted (sp?) equiped with magnum rounds and solid slugs can kill with one shot to the head/chest at distances up to and around 100-150m so it's very possible this is what he did. Pretty good tactic to use especially in some of the jungle-ish maps.
Down side is that it has very little zoom when aiming due to the iron sights, but last time I played it also had little to no bullet drop making it a bit of a laser at range.

Haha yes, the shotgun with the accuracy mod is devastating if you have any aim at all; however you have to remain still to be accurate.
Yesterday a victim of mine wrote in-game: "Oh, what hack are you using that you have to stop moving to fire?" :wanker:
