View Full Version : Forums not keeping me logged in, happening for anyone else?

The forums keep my user and PW saved, but it doesn't keep my logged in for very long. I tick toe box, but it still doesn't keep my in for very long, or if I go to another site for a while.

Anyone else with same prob?

I had it happen once, but only once so far. Been regged for 3 days now.

I have this problem at some other forums from time to time. It seems to be damn near random.

I was getting it just now. Cleared all my Private data in Firefox and it started working again.

I was getting it just as I logged in about 10 minutes ago. I deleted my cookies for the messhall, signed in again and it started working properly.

I was getting it just now. Cleared all my Private data in Firefox and it started working again.

Same.

I also added http://www.themesshall.net to the list of allowed sites for cookies.

Been having that problem, except when I log in sometimes.. it says "logged in" and returns me to the index, but I'm still not logged in. I have to log in like.. 20 times, sometimes more.

I had that problem today. Had to delete the mess hall cookies before i could log back in.

Vista makes it a real pain in the ass getting to the cookies though.

C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Wind ows\Temporary Internet Files

The temp internet folder doesnt show up even with show hidden files and foldiers turned on so i had to manually type it in.
If anyone is on vista, using ie, and cant log in, try deleting your mess hall cookies from there.

Hmm... Mac OS and iPhone and my PC are all doing the log in then not logged in thing. Had to clear my cookies on Safari.

I had this happen coming on here tonight. Took an IE shutdown and total cookie purge before it would let me log in properly. I blame IE, because it's such a piece of shit.

that's a good theory, but I'm using Mozilla and I had this issue.

Oh, and in a completely unrelated topic can we get it so that we can click to enable quick responses? That was we can just hit then, then click a box to quote a message in the quick reply?

I had to clear all my cookies too, I changed the cookie settings on the board to no domain so it would have required clearing them before letting you in.

A big change to make, but in the long run it should fix all issues with cookies for those that were experiencing them.
