It seems alot of my MP3 files have become corrupted somehow. The file itself still shows up but when i try and ply them it wont do anything or it will play 5 seconds then stop.
Any idea on wtf to do? I dont want to rip all of the files off my cd's again. I googled some repair proggies, but none so far were worth a damn. I wouldnt mind paying for one if I knew it would work.

That sounds weird I don't know how that could happen. Have you tried using a different media player?

I had that when I had a weird codec error. I just updated my codecs and it seemed to work fine.

Yeah k-lite codec pack did that to me. I just stopped getting packs.
What you can try is using http://www.videolan.com
That has it's own set of codecs. So see if your songs still play for only a short amount of time with that.

Well I tried adding them to Itunes but they wont add, I tried VLC too. Tried it on another pc and nada.
Now I think i know why they got screwed. My old pc blew up, I was working on getting my hard drives to work on an older pc I have that uses a PATA for the main drive, these drives are all SATA. While working my dumbass self accidentally knocked the cords for the sata drives loose and I lost some data on one drive, and the other drives I dont think liked it.
I just began to rerip the cd's.
