Mount&Blade : A great game that you stupids don't know about

There wasn't enough space for "probably" in the title, so I left it out. Don't be all "hey but I knew about it! I'm not stupid!" because you still are.

Ever felt like actually BEING on the battlefiled in those crap Total War game? "Those morons suck, I could do alot better" Well this game makes it a reality.

Start off as a lonely traveller, pick up missions in cities, hunt bandits, build up XP, gear up, hire mercenaries, expand your small band of 10 to an army of 100's, capture villages, cities, castles and become your own lord. All this in first/third person perspective.

I bought this hours after trying the demo, it's that good. Demo allows you to build your character up to level 8 only, otherwise you can explore the whole map.

I really need to break down and buy this game. I've downloaded the demo a few times and the gameplay is excellent. The fights can get huge and the combat is really satisfying.

Yeah its a one time fee. Also, the game is pretty moddable. There are a number of mods already out for it.

It's only single player for now unfortunately, though mutli and especially MMO would absolutely kick ass in this game.

100 years war, Lord of the Rings, Japanese feodal era, Pirates... You've got more mods for this game than there ever were for HL1 & 2 combined. I'd say they've made it pretty easy for modders.

what the fuck? the game is in beta...i downloaded it from their WEBSITE. i doubt theres even a pirated copy of this game available.
