Looks like absolute shit. Their attempt at humor is not even remotely funny for anybody of any age. The cheap shot at TPB was completely below the belt. EA needs to get their head out of their ass.

It looks like it might be fun and it's free so I will probably check this out when it's released.

The game probably sucks. I thought it was funny. Are people really that sensitivy when it comes to EA?

I think its great they have a bit of humor about :maxey: bay and 15 year old's that play too much.

EA always steals stuff from games not their own. They follow trends, and focus most their efforts in marketing. EA sucks, and always will. This game is a cross between DoD and TF2. I love how they have been trying to make FPS games for kids ages 8-17.

Dont be jealous, im sure they'll make an FPS for retards soon enough.

Looks like they want to take some customers away from TF2...but for free? I don't get it. Don't see how it benefits them. I'm sure I'll try the game but from the looks of it, I really don't know what to think of the gameplay.

it benefits them by taking people away from TF2 ! lmao. im sure they get money some how ! I bet there are ads worth lots o moneys, which will pop up all over that game.

I bet, the more people who are on EA online, or using EA services, make up a percent of something or other, which allows EA to get money, from somewhere, because blah blah blah ... blah.

how was that a cheap shot? they didn't say anything negative about the site, all they did was state that you won't have to download the game illegally. the trailer will only increase traffic if anything.

I'm pretty sure that I heard that it will run on a similar model to most Korean MMO's: free to play with optional purchasable content (which isn't supposed to impact gameplay). I'm not entirely sure how this sort of model manages to be profitable but it has worked in the past so I guess EA is giving it a try. If nothing else, I'm sure ad revenues should help quite a bit since it appears that everyone will be funneled through EA's site when they log in.

[edit] Also, EA published the retail copies of Orange Box so I'm not sure how much I would consider this as direct competition.

I give EA credit for trying something new, but it just doesn't grab me as much as TF2 does. I don't think it's necessarily the cartoon style resembling TF2 as much as it doesn't capture the same spark and humor. The humor is too forced.

EA is only distributing Valve games. They can't get their dirty paws on it.

y'all bitches is a bunch of haters. I'll be playing it. It looks mad fun, and the "shot at The Pirate Bay" wasn't mean spirited or fucked up. Bunch of bitter jaded nerds. It was funny :P

After checking out the website and a few previews, I'm actually pretty psyched for this game. It looks like they are making an effort to clean up a lot of the frustrating elements of the Battlefield series while maintaining what made the games fun in the first place. BF2 always frustrated me with its hit-or-miss commander/squad system, frustratingly large maps/unconcentrated combat and the crippling lag. It looks like this game will shift the focus to smaller maps, a simplified class system with no squads or commanders, and much more modest system requirements. The fact that it's not another pseudo-serious real-is-brown shooter is also kind of nice.

Yeah, plus it looks fun. I like laughing while gaming.

Only other games that do that for me is Online San Andreas on the racing servers

It's a good thing it's free, cause I'll try it at the very least. I'd prefer it to be an FPS, but what the hell, it's free. It looks kinda goofy, especially the little tank battle there at the end, but again, it's free.

Most likely though you'll have to buy skill sets to do any of the fun stuff. Fucking EA.

You dont have to pay to play better; you just have to pay to look more retarded (That's not at EA, that's for any game where you pay real money for a shirt on your pixels).

Welcome to the brave new world. Instead of 60 dollars up front to play a game, they squeeze 80 dollars out of you over a long period of time.
