We know there's an absolute zero temperature, where nothing can get any colder. But is there an opposite to it? Is there an "absolute hot" temperature where nothing can get any hotter?

tl;dr: Yes there is a maximum temperature at which matter can operate. Past that temperature and matter becomes energy because the subatomic particles break down.
