Did anyone read about the operation? They dressed up as rebels and told them they were there to transfer them to another place, the rebels handed them over and they flew off without a shot. lol awesome.

No I really couldn't. I hate FARC. I'm glad they're on the way out. At least one positive thing in this world right now... Some of the forces of the Colombian Army that were captured have been in there for 11 years.

Ya I read that in the article today. New stuff is comin out. Apperently Ingrid Betancourt was supposidly "With" one of the rebels. Thats how she got hepititis. As the story went. Read about the last attemt to free them.
In a secret operation a U.S. official called "brilliant," the Colombian military infiltrated rebel group FARC and deceived its members into giving up 15 hostages including former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt, Colombia's defense ministry said.

A heap of hostages were rescued from an armed rebel group and you're splitting hairs over their jobs?
Well, then yeah.

She could have gotten Hep from other ways. Tainted water with poop, who knows. Either way, I doubt her vagina went dusty by her choice or not.
Their operation was definitely something out of Hollywood and took some real balls to pull off. I'm sure the importance was not only her but the US citizens. Now only 400 more hostages to go.

No it's exactly that... I don't get why so much focus is being put on one woman who was told NOT to go there just because she's a politician.

As I recall she didn't go there, she was born there, married a French diplomat, ran for president there, and was kidnapped.

Yeah, apparently they stripped them naked at gun point and tied them up. Sounds like one hell of an in flight movie to me.

I'll try and post more often for you mate :D

reading that article made me feel really good. Talk about a successful mission !
do you think farc will somehow try to retaliate, or do they have no power to do so ?
i wonder how long it took them to figure it out. the best part of the video is seeing all those soldiers lined up, with no idea whats going on !
oh ps. do you think they are saying they did it for no money because they want to protect whoever funded the op, or is the article correct in what Colombia says ?

I think this sort of operation is the dream that US Special Forces and the CIA have for how their jobs SHOULD be performed. Hope they keep up this level of asskickery.

Kidnaping is a common intimidation or gain tactic. We've seen it done by terrorist groups for centuries. Can't imagine being held by brutal sadistic people torturing me mentaly and physicly for years.
Besides the more I read about FARC. The more they look like criminal terrorist low life's.
