“Bush wanted to go to war in Iraq from the very first days he was in office. Nothing was going to stop that,” Richer is quoted in the book.

:picard:

Well we allready knew that.
Also Cheney and Halliburton not mentioned.

Ties with U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney
In recent years the company has become the object of several controversies involving the 2003 Iraq War and the company's ties to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney retired from the company during the 2000 U.S. presidential election campaign with a severance package worth $34 million.[27] As of 2004, he had received $398,548 in deferred compensation from Halliburton while Vice President.[28] Some commentators have speculated on a possible conflict of interest from Cheney receiving deferred compensation and stock options from Halliburton.

Coincidence? HMMM....

Considering this, Powell during the Gulf War was basically on the doorstep of Hussein but still called the war off. And Clinton had Bin Laden handed to him but Clinton turned a deaf ear to it. So political "mishaps" are nothing new. Its not exactly one administration/political party or the other, its politicians with their ego. The people in office whether it be the president or congress all have a hand out for what can be gained for them, not for the people.

It just goes to show how politicians look after their own greed. Makes me want to run for office. I can get free trips to hawaii and get drunk on martinis. Get my house fixed up for free. Take kickbacks from the land owners and close the rental bord so they can do anything they want. Start a war and make a few million while 3000 soldiers die.

That's actually a lie, but it's been spread around the Internet so much it's usually assumed to be fact.
