Now things get more heated, aside from random kids whose balls have yet to drop with attitudes bigger than a chihuahua's.

It will be for those who think their opinion matter more than yours. And we all know theres plenty of those on XBL. :tinfoil:

"take part in polls to find out their voting intentions." form of. Besides the title of the thread which obviously can be taken all manner of ways, my point is some kids will think their twice the hot shit they originally thought they were.

Well, that doesn't matter. Youths don't vote.

How often do you play on XBL and don't run into a kid making outrageous claims and being an annoying little twat? With this little tidbit of info being advertised, that adds another claim to some of the kids opinionated little claim belt. Actual voting or not, they still say it. So on top of it all, you might start hearing political statements instead of just the usual banter.
Changed the title too. Better? :maxey:

Most of the annoying kids over XBL are too young to vote anyway.
They're not too young to get their dad's belt and hang themselves from the showerhead.

Like I said, they don't have to be voting age to make the claim over the internet. Hell, most of them claim they're 6'5 body builders.
I agree about the belt and showerhead.

Isn't it a good thing when the youth actually bother to register/vote? Personally if someone tells me they don't vote in general elections then I think they lose the right to ever moan about their country or it's policies.
If they annoy you on XBL, mute them or summat.

Yeah the problem is they get people to register, because that's easy to do, but when it comes to actual voting it's harder.

Mostly I agree, but a lot of the voters I've talked to are so one sided they choose whatever candidate is nominated by the party they're affiliated with. The hard part is picking through the lies of all the candidates to figure out which is the lesser of the shitters.

I suppose that's what makes the UK election system a little easier for the voter, as you vote a party, not an individual.
How does voting work on the day in the US? UK is pretty much just show up at your registered voting centre, confirm your ID with them and then fill out a ballot paper. Usually a 5 minute job unles you're in the city centre or trying to vote while out of the country (5 hours wait for the lass to vote in the Polish elections here lol).

You go to your precinct's voting center, you wait in line, people talk about how busy it is, you go to this like.. cubical shaped divider thing, usually about 20 in my area, and you essentially fill out a scan tron.
THERE IS an option for straight ticket (I think it might be against the law to have straight ticket in some states or precincts though?) but I always don't, as our Sheriff is a really good guy and he's democrat, and sometimes I like the senators from Michigan we have who are democrats, depends on if they did anything stupid.

They have all different sites set up for voting here. They even have the rec centers taken up in some spots. Even with that, there can be a several hour wait with some confusing ballots (like Burris said, a scan tron) and "pregnant chads" if one of the candidates doesn't like the results, then they'll demand a recount.....repeatedly.

I'm thinking about casting one, as I know who I want and nothing is hopefully gonna change me on that.
HOPE AND CHANGE.

ska wars, the problem isnt that they're given the option to register, it's that they're FORCED to register to vote. if no, puff daddy will come fucking murder you.
