I'm making a research booklet/folder on 'multimedia web design' (wtf is that?) and I'm making the pages like a shitty old site (geocities, tripod, angelfire). there'll be home page, gallery page and couple of other things.
I'm looking for authentic shittyness
so far I've got,
-serif font links, no buttons (tried buttons, looked crap, not the authentic crap I want)
-traffic counter
-lil font at bottom
-ads
-tiled background (might make more obnoxious)
-Might add a guestbook pic, but need a shitty clip art pic of it
What else can I have, im going for tackyness/ authentic shitness
http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/9356/siteth8.jpg
(fyi: i'm not actually making a site, i'm making these pages in photoshop, to look like a site)
So yeah anyone know what 'multimedia' web design is, is the paragraph in my pic generally right. I thought web design was just that : |

lmao good stuff. Anyway to turn off the smoothing in Photoshop when you resize an image? I just want it sharp n crappy like when you do in paint, not smoothed like PS automatically does

When you go to resize, on the Resample Image, open the drop down menu and select "Nearest Neighbor"

Make tables that have thick borders. Use those as text boxes, sometimes lay them out poorly so you can tell there's two seperate tables and they're just a little bit out of alignment.

If you have a gallery, have a row of thumbnails with one of them huge normal size. Then underneath have an englarged image with it broken, so you have a thin bounding box with the no image red cross top right.
