My friend needs a GPS for his wife. However, I haven't seen the best reviews for alot of the Magellan or TomToms. It needs text to speech and hopefully blutooth calling. ~$150-$300.
CNet wasn't much help. They are like, this is ok.. and people are like ehhh.....

I always go with Garmin Nuvi.
Seriously, there's little else out there that matches it to me.

I have a simple Garmin, no problems at all. Gets me to point A and to point B.
All those fancy features are unnecessary :P

I don't need a GPS. I can locate myself in any part of the world just by calculating the angle at which the afternoon wind is pushing the rainy clouds of December.
Oh and I also use maps.

Garmin Nuvi or the Mio brand ones (not sure what they're called).

I have a mio one, but it's embedded into my engine. It was good until then, though

On the bright side your engine block knows where it landed to within 3 meters.
