Im studying to become a marine engineer, and I can help with most things DC and have recently begun learning about AC and magnetism.

Besides that I might be able to offer help when it comes to diesel engines as well (I know ship diesels, but they are pretty much like say car engines and such).

I cant promise alot since Im on my first semester of school, but I have about 2 years of experience as a blacksmith/machinist so. It would be cool to actually use my profession for something useful.

PM me or post if anything and Ill see what I can do.

Do you know step motors? Such as using a controller to make the motor (step or servo) turn X degree every X second.

The are a kind of electrical motor, so I guess I might figure something out, depending on what the problem is of course.

However, the impulses making the step motor turn are often controlled by some external device, which is too advanced for me yet.
