Hello, my fair geeks.
As a part of this whole professional acting thing, I've come to determine that I need to set up a website that I can link prospective agents to.
It needs to be free (preferably) and have space for images and video clips, and a relatively flexible (but definitely prefab) template/UI.
Is this a myspace thing?
Or is myspace too tacky?
Recommend mah!

No way to myspace! Googlepages is always a good start for a simple website.

Donno about webspace, but if you get something with PHP and MySQL support, look into WordPress.
Alternatively you could pay me and I would set everything up for you.

Oh, nice job working in the sales pitch, Koobs.
Frankly, I'll keep that in mind. The "cheap as free" provision stands, currently, due to my dismal bank account status.
Thanks guys, and please, anybody else with ideas, pitch in. I've been blogging for years, so at least I have a sense of what I want to do, aesthetically...It's just that I've never setup an "interesting" webpage, marketing style.
It's funny, I fell in love with acting because it seemed like such an unsullied art form. Come to realize that an actor needs to know more about branding and marketing and promotion than the average bear.
Who knew?

You designing the site with software or doing it yourself?
might want to learn some css and javascript if you dont know any and are doing it yourself.
pure html itself is limiting.

Well, it doesn't need to be fancy. Fanciness detracted from the pitch. I'll work with html (actually it's a WYSIWYG editor) for now. If it isn't enough, I'll be back. If I think it's enough, I guarantee I'll post a link so that you guys can obliterate it.
