My nephew on the other side of the country put a password on his laptop but cant remember it now. O__O

Ive told him i dont have time to go searching for a way to get around the password and remove it.

Im too busy with assignments and tests until atleast thursday to waste time scouring the internet for a sure method.

So i am commanding you guys to find the infomation to do so.
Im sure there must be a way to do it, but havent forgotten my login before..

Isn't it stored on some file somewhere in the Windows folder?

I wouldn't know anyway, never put passwords on my computer.

Windows password or laptop password?

This hack will only work if the person that owns the machine has no intelligence. This is how it works: When you or anyone installs Windows XP for the first time your asked to put in your username and up to five others. Now, unknownst to a lot of other people this is the only place in Windows XP that you can password the default Administrator Diagnostic Account. This means that to by pass most administrators accounts on Windows XP all you have to do is boot to safe mode by pressing F8 during boot up and choosing it. Log into the Administrator Account and create your own or change the password on the current Account. This only works if the user on setup specified a password for the Administrator Account. This has worked for me on both Windows XP Home and Pro.

If it's a laptop password, he's fucked.

Not sure how tech savvy your nephew is, this is probably the least amount of hassle to find out the password.

The free service will email it back in 3 days. There are other free ways of doing it this is the least amount of hand-holding for you.
