I'm thinking it's finally time to bite the bullet and pick up a new PC. I'm looking around the $1500 range (Canadian). This is probably the best I've found so far.

General Specs
Brand CyberpowerPC

Processor Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550(2.83GHz)
Processor Main Features 64 bit Quad-Core Processor

It seems pretty decent for the price. I've been doing benchmarking on all the components and though not every piece is top of the line, they all perform quite well and it's within the budget.
Any glaring errors here? Should I be looking into the Intel Core i7 920 processor more? ATI Radeon's HD 4850? Should I reconsider any other components?
Any advice and feedback would be much appreciated.
Edit: Fuck! It just got deactivated on newegg.

Best advice i can give you is those parts build this thing yourself i reckon you can at least shave off $500 this way. Also i noticed you didn't spec the motherboard. You could allway try this below GA-P35C-DS3R (rev. 2.1) I know of at least 3 of us on this forum that use this mobo Wheatly and Gingerlord and my self.Thier pretty much rock solid

i7 is nice but expensive. Sure you can find a deal for a nice i7 CPU at Micro Center but the motherboard and RAM brings up the cost. In the long run it'll work out but for now, I think the system Mr. T build should be fine.

The mobo was an ASUS P5N-D. Thanks for the heads up though. I'll check into it though.

I'm still debating back and forth with the idea.

Pretty good, but unfortunately it's in USD, so with exchange rate and shipping costs it looks less appealing for a poor Canuck.

Yeah, I'm still thinking about an i7, but I'm still gunna hold off a bit and do some more shopping around, toy with the idea of building it myself, and maybe search around some better pricing.
Thanks for all of the great input everyone. Much appreciated.

Alright, I did some more searching and I found:
General Spec
Brand CyberpowerPC
Processor Intel Core i7 920(2.66GHz)
Processor Main Features 64 bit Quad-Core Processor
Memory 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 Tri Channel Memory
Hard Drive 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM HDD
Optical Drive 1 20X DVD±R/±RW Dual Layer Drive
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB PCI Express Video Card
Audio Sound card - Integrated
Ethernet Gigabit LAN
Power Supply 800W
Operating System Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Motherboard Chipset Intel X58
For $1300.
It comes in a bit under my budget, and the 9800GTX+ should do the trick, and if I do get some extra cash I can pick up another 9800GTX+ for under $200 and go get an SLI going in the future.
