If all images appear, you don't have it... Follow the instructions on the site.

Conficker blocks some secure pages, and these images are taken from there. So if some images don't appear, the source is probably blocked, therefore you have conficker.

I r safe 2.

What Virus protection software are ya'll using and why? I've been using Eset's Nod32 for the last four years and it works a treat. Has a stupid name though .

I use Avast, but mostly because its the only one I've come across that is easy to terminate all its processes with a script w/o a reboot. How is nod32 in that regards? I'll have to check it out.

NoD32 is like killing flies with a pipe bomb. It might eat a chunck of your windows installation, but it sure does kill teh virus.

Dont know to be honest. You can DL it for a month free try and I've never had any probs with it. My subscription run out a little while back and I got a heap load of probs but the minute I re-paid for my licence and did a full scan it killed off all the probs and found a shed load of nasty shit.

I've used AVG free wich was rubbish and Norton came with my first PC but that was a ball ache and kept telling me that Steam was some kind on malicious software (though it kinda was when Steam first started lol) and my parents are using their free subscription to McAfee - but that too seems like a ball ache to use too.

Most people I speak to havent heard of it but those that do - love by it. The Tech guru'Wandy' from PCZone magazine swears by it.

its just 2 .bat files

stop av.bat

net stop "avast! iAVS4 Control Service"
net stop "avast! Web Scanner"
net stop "avast! Antivirus"

And to restart them without going into control panel

start av.bat

net start "avast! Antivirus"
net start "avast! Web Scanner"
net start "avast! iAVS4 Control Service"

The icon program stays open, but thats just a little over a meg and throws a access denied if you try to taskkill it anyway.
