RAMADI, Iraq - The U.S. Marine Corps wrapped nearly seven years in Iraq on Saturday, handing over duties to the Army and signaling the beginning of an accelerated withdrawal of American troops as the U.S. turns its focus away from the waning Iraqi war to a growing one in Afghanistan.

I'm interested as to whether or not Iraq constitutes a coalition victory. But what determines this? Coalition pullout? Coalition deaths? Iraqi deaths? Complete/Partial cessation of hostilities? From what I've read earlier this year, 2009 saw more Iraqis die every day from smoking than from insurgent related activity.

Saddam's dead and our chosen government body is in charge. It's certainly not gonna be by body count, because then we won the fuck out of Vietnam instead of putting it on hold.
