I got Avast! running now. I had that windows spyware checker virus so it was being blocked. Spyware doctor, whoever it was that posted that, kinda sucks. It's free but all it does is scan, not delete. Pfffft

That could be the virus protecting itself. Again, when this happened to us, most of the anti-virus solutions I tried were blocked from actually deleting the problem, even though they were technically supposed to be able to.

Google around for removal tips or sequences or even specialized progs for this particular "program". I recall that being the only solution for me.

Don't think its Malwarebytes but that and Combofix are the best after the fact malware/virus scanner and remover.

Combofix: Seriously read all instruction before you use. If it doesn't automatically remove everything it provides a log which can be used by others to analyze other issues so they can further assist you.
