Steam coming to Mac

Valve Software, whose Steam download services has become a successful content distribution platform for the PC, will expand to the Apple Macintosh, the company said.

More importantly, Valve will also port its Source graphics technology to the Mac, giving both platforms access to the same games. Valve also confirmed that it will launch a sequel to its highly acclaimed game, "Portal," which it will simultaneously launch for both Macs and PCs.

Valve's library of games, including "Left 4 Dead 2," "Team Fortress 2," "Counter-Strike," "Portal," and the "Half-Life" series will be available in April, Valve said.

As long as the system version download is tied to the client type, it's cool. I don't want to have to select a PC checkbox because 20 macbois and Stroddy wanted a Steam client.

That article is meant to give a kneejerk reaction that DOHOHO APPLE FAGGOTS NEED A PC TO DO OTHER STUFFF HAHAHAH TOLD!

..when it actually basically says that Mac users have had PC/Windows computers before or currently, they just don't want to get rid of it. Like me. I had my Dell XPS computer sitting in my room for close to 2 years with the line of thinking, "Hey, it'd make a good backup computer."

And here we are, 2 years later, where it is effectively today's most recent Mac and unable to play any of the current games.
