My iMac that I got 5 years ago came with a 2 button mouse. They for some unknown reason ship them with RMB = LMB. If you go into settings > Mice you can change it. Mine was even wireless, swapped it for my mums MightyMouse as she didn't like it.

They were shipping them like this for years before mine as well so either you're telling porkies or for some reason Apple hates you and sent you a 10 year old mouse.

It has two. Go to preferences, Keyboard/Mouse. There should be an option for it there.
