    Default My bike got stolen.

At about 3AM to 11AM my above bike was stolen.

I was/am pissed. BUT, I called my local bike repair shop (great people by the way) and ask them to be on the lookout. Well, a guy comes in to have "his" bike appraised because he just "bought" it from a garage sale a town over. They call me and inform me of what transpired. Unfortunately I'm at work and only get a voice mail. I call them when I get off and hear the story. The guy said he'd be back the next day to have something added.

I made my police report and in the morning I'm going over to the repair shop to get more information and hopefully get my bike back.

    ADVENTURE.

I am posting this on my porch now.

I feel his pain. I really hope that fucking savage goes to the bike shop tomorrow. He will be cornered and I will play Pee Wee's theme as he is arrested.

I'm on my porch and I just noticed the same hatchback drive by.

What I'm really worried about is Pearl.

Interesting corollary: Almost a year ago to the day, the bosse's bike was stolen THEN returned to the neighboors back yard with the lamp blinking.

    Fucking savages in this town.

I moved behind the bushes. But I am smoking a cigar and playing on the internet. I am not a good detective...

Oh, the real cops drove by and also after I filled my police report they busted the meth house down the street.

And I'm hiding in bushes. Smoking.

Does it have your name or address engraved onto the frame? In the UK the police do it for free - they even set up special stalls at train stations or similar places where there are lots of bicycles and spend the day doing it. The engraving is useually on the underneath of the pedal housing or some other place less obvious. That way you could quote your name or address etc to the bike shop and they can tell in an instant if its yours - and they're pretty honest about this sort ofthing as they're useually cylists themselves.

That blows dude. I had bike stolen a few years ago and replaced it with a better one. I'd really hate for this one to get ganked, too.

Is that bike made by Panasonic? I never knew they made bikes. Is it rare or something?

I don't think our cops do that. They are too busy doing actual police work instead of wearing funny hats and vandalizing peoples bikes.

Shit, I would do that myself when I was a kid. My dad would always write the serial number of the bike down on the inside of the barn out back, and then we would take a dremel and carve something small into the frame. Usually our initials, but it would be in a not so obvious place.
