Or, "straybullet plays wuss-rock."
So I've decided to start a little thing I call "The Love Song Project." Basically, from February 1 to Valentine's Day I post a cover of a love song a day.
There are several reasons for this. First, I want to play and perform more, and put more of my shit out there. I'm way too shy and withdrawn when it comes to my playing and singing, and the only way I'm going to really get better is if I do it in front of people.
Second, I want to just generate some sort of content. This is a good way for me to produce a focused blog on a regular basis. I don't intend for it to go past February 14, so it gives me a nice little project with a finite start and end date. This is also partly self-promotional, to see how much interest I can generate in a small amount of time. I'll probably be pointing to this in my resume if it goes well.
Finally, I've been dealing with a shitty situation (long story short, this girl I've had a crush on for a while just hooked up with one of my friends, on like Friday). Yeah, it's dumb emo shit, but it happened and I'm trying to deal. Singing and playing has been helping, and I figured I might as well hit several birds with one stone.
I'm not that great (my guitar playing is okay, my singing I don't like) but I'm decent enough to be worth putting a watch. I've got a rough setlist. The songs range from sad, piney ballads to upbeat toe-tappers, but they're all about love. If you have suggestions, feel free to add.
I've got my blog and youtube page up. A twitter page might also be going up as well, depending on how ambitious I'm feeling.

Satisfied with the designs I whipped up so far, but I'm also open to suggestions. Wanted to keep it pretty basic.
Thoughts? Comments? Ridicule? Have at it, gents.
