BC2 singleplayer is objectively shittastic. I would rather play MW2 at its shittiest than BC2 at its best, and that is the most damning statement I can come up with, because I fucking hate MW2. BC2 is an affront to the multiplayer version every Battlefield to come before it. It is the worst thing since colon cancer.

Seriously though, BC2's SP was short but sweet. MP seems to have taken a bizarre turn since I last delved into it.

DICE and Electronic Arts held a presentation at the Game Developers Conference to showcase Battlefield 3. Of course, a video has leaked out showing just over four minutes of game footage for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC game.

The video shows some impressive gameplay footage that looks similar to the recently released 'Fault Line' trailer but also shows snippets of much more including the destructible environments.

In one part, the player shoots away the support structure for a building. This leads to the ground literally buckling and throwing the player from the vehicle he was shooting from as he watches the building collapse and take out a nearby hovering helicopter.

From there, the video moves to a demonstration of the lighting effects in the game as the engine transitions from day to night and lights spring up from buildings across the city.

The video during transition from the gameplay to the lighting effects may be of interest to many though as it shows off some of the different gameplay aspects in Battlefield 3. There's brief glimps of a nighttime battle in the city, a tank battle, and fighter jets.
