Half Life 1: Single best investment I have ever made. Counter-Strike, DOD, TFC, They Hunger, That aliens vs marines mod I forget what its called, That Vietnam puzzle mod, Conundrum (another puzzle mod). The list goes on and never stops. Action Half Life, The Opera.

Unreal 2004: The regular game was pretty fun, decent weapon balance and plenty of fast paced mayhem. But then there was the "Make Something Unreal" modding contest that really made this a great purchase, for example Red Orchestra.

Rainbow Six Ravenshield: Tons of maps, respectable graphics. I played the co-op with my friends. We got rocked sometimes.

Half Life 2: great singleplayer, team fortress, I didn't get into the mod scene much.

Battlefield 1942: Forgotten Hope and Desert Combat

Battlefield 2: Great purchase, but really challenged my old machine

Battlefield 3: Great Xbox 360 purchase. Endless hours ahead.

COD 4: Endless hours, I still play this sometimes.

MW2: I played this a lot until everyone got gay with quickscoping and infinite noob tube.

Black Ops: I played the shit out of this with my friends, and we still play it sometimes.

Mafia 1 PC: You start out with slow cars but it picks up. I played through it twice.

Pretty much all the GTA's were worth the purchase, RDR as well.
