New job move was a fucked up thing to do
so I have been in my new job now for 5 months
and i hate every fkin minute of it.
The money is great, but the job is complete shite, really starting to get me down..............
My biggest issue, is because its such a senior role my notice period is 6 months
SO what to do

That's well and good until the stress and frustration starts to manifest itself in home life. Not really the answer, imo. A fucked up work situation can bring as many problems into the family as being unemployed can, if not more so.Originally Posted by Maxey

Zao is right. Your wife will know you're unhappy if you've told her or not. Speak to her about it. I bet she'll be happy for you to look for something else even if something else brings less money in as she'd rather you where happy(er).
Unless she's Polish or Rusian or similar. They dont seem to give a shit what you like as long as they can have your money to spend.

When it comes to careers there really no such thing as having it all. If you are really enjoying the work, the management will write you up for being a minute late. If you hate the work, the management will be the nicest most laid back people you ever met. If you both like the work and the management, your co-workers will be a bunch of dicks. If you like the management, work, and co-workers then you won't be getting paid enough or will be working overtime. Should everything about the job be perfect, then you have a 1 and a half hour commute to get to the job.

TBh im going to stick with it for at least another 3 months, if im not happy then. i will write my notice then have to just sit out the six months notice but start looking for work about 3 months into that................
