This could be anything outside of "pc" "computers" "consoles" and any other electronic gaming gadget.
I played Uno for the first time in more than a decade. What a fun and devious game that is.
I haven't played Trivial Pursuit in years. I wonder how recent and topical are the questions in that game if I bought the latest edition of it today.
Munchkin is a favourite when there's at least three people and a ready supply of alcohol. A friend is also trying to get me into Firestorm Armada, which has taken the admirable step of including photocopyable tokens and pieces in the rulebook so that you don't have to spend a fortune on miniatures before getting your wargaming hat on.
But this is the king of family games. I shit you not, one of the "medium" challenges is to build a model of the Sydney Opera House with a very limited set of bricks. The harder challenges are worth it for the spectator-entertainment factor alone.
Fucking RC helicopters. In the house. They're small, fly for like 20 minutes, and are goddamned awesome once you figure out how to run them. Back home I've got a big ass vaulted ceiling in the living room with a fan...landing that bitch on a fan blade is an accomplishment. Then doing time trials, haha. I hear they have ones you can dogfight with nowadays, gonna have to get me some of them.
Basically, anything "AirHogs" is a sweet time.
Also Risk and Stratego. And then the game "Things". That gets debaucherous fast.

Same with Hand & Foot: http://www.pagat.com/rummy/handfoot.html
My wife really like Settlers of Catan, but we haven't played it in years, so I bought her a set for Christmas. We tend to play Quiddler pretty often. http://www.setgame.com/quiddler/ To mix it up, we like to occasionally play special rules, like five point bonus for longest word, or ten point bonus for making one word out of all cards in your hand on hands five cards or longer, etc etc. It's a lot of fun and you can just play a few quick hands if you want and not be committed to an hour long game. She's trying to get me to like Mahjonng, but I just can't get there. Too many fucking weird rules and odd scoring for a rummy game.
