Sounds expensive.
I can see it for snipers, but regular soldiers it's pretty impractical.
"Well to be honest, after years of smoking and drinking, you do sometimes look at yourself and think, you know, just sometimes between that first cigarette with coffee in the morning to that 400th glass of corner shop piss at 3AM, you do sometimes look at yourself and think...this is fantastic." - Bernard Black
I seem to recall seeing something similar on Future Weapons several years ago. Either way, that one comment is pure ignorance.
It's a fucking bullet traveling well past the speed of sound and dropping at a rate of 9.8 m/s². It is not an artillery shell. You need a line of sight to hit someone with a bullet, it's not a goddamned magic turn on a dime spacecraft. It will not navigate hallways, it will not snap around corners, it will only bend slightly to be more accurate. Ok, done griping."The public may be uncomfortable with the implications of people being able to use this without needing to have a sight line to the target - you could see this having terrorist uses," said Ms Quintana.
Either way, it'll be a sniper only weapon, IF it works.
