if your going to setup a server then you need to add a file in the dod_31 folder called
steam_appid.txt

open it and add the text '70' with out quote marks, this will show in steam server browser and enable connect to

also my installer version seems to come out with the cl_hud setting off, so if you want them just turn them on in your console

yes you will need to halflife in your steam acount

We need those manual fixes already made in the installer. manual fixes scare people off, specially if they go wrong / are complex

well I got it working except I have a weird issue..

I have two steam accounts : one for my source games and one for the HL Gold type games

On the account with this dod 3.1 and dod retail, my mouse and keyboard movements are VERY jerky. It's almost like I'm getting stuck on random crap and I have no idea why. My dod retail gold and HL stuff is banned on my steam account, BUT if i just open up a local game, I dont have that crappy jerky movements.

I have no idea what difference there could be between my two accounts that cause that problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I just started a DOD 3.1 Page. There are Downloads and discriptions in two languages. At the moment the Download is an archive of the dod_31 folder. This works fine although I will add the link to wickits installer when it is online. I think we will get this game back online.
