Expect lots of tedium and repetition.

    But it looks nice.

    Just finished it yesterday.

Does anyone else remember when games actually had endings?

I love the game despite its repetitiveness - there's just something about dashing towards a rooftop archer as he nocks an arrow, leaping into him and burying a dagger in his neck. (Then watching the crowd below scream and scatter as his body slides off the roof and into the street.)
Also assassinating all those bloody beggars and drunks/mad folk once you've finished the game. Hours of frustration releived without a single dent to your energy bar... lovely.

The free-running is brilliant fun when you're looking for the flags for the full 1k achievement points, but they can be hidden in the most awkward places. If you get stuck looking for the 2 or 3 that have evaded you, go here:

    oh god, fuck Assassin's creed.

The xbox360 can JUST barely run the game. You can tell they also had to cut a lot of stuff out for the xbox, like SWIMMING.

Since when can an assassin not swim in 4 feet of water ?

Uh, IIRC Assassin's Creed was developed simultaneously on 360/PS3 and the PC release isn't till the end of this month. Why would stuff have been cut out on the platform it was developed on?

I thought the main story arch was stupid, full of dramatic cliches, and cheaply set up for sequels. The end was cool though.

The gameplay was decent but it suffers from Stupid Guards Syndrome.

Because xbox360 can't handle it all. In some parts of the game, the graphics glitch out. Any game that kills you for falling in a small pool of water tells me something. The AI is very very stupid. The list goes on.

i can almost bet that the PC version will be WAY WAY WAY better.
    Edit:

also, if you go to Assassin's creeds official forums, you can't help but notice how many threads talk about the glitches, and stupidness.

Besides, AC2 is already in the works. wtf ? That right there is proof that they were rushed and couldn't put all the things they wanted to in the game.
