Then....I got poison ivy all over my face and neck:

Luckily this is after a couple days and it started to go away.

Well at least the poison ivy were worth it for those nice pics hah!
All you daughterfuckers bitching about this film need to punch yourself in the nuts and then run a dull power drill bit through both eyes before jumping into an industrial farm pigshit vat. You're gayer than a tanker truck full of HIV rolling over onto a San Francisco gay pride parade. You're dumber than a box of Stephensons. You don't deserve this movie. Screw you.

    Thanks for the photos!

Could you give more info of the subject matter. I would just like to wrap my head around them. My mind wanders about stuff like this and I try to imagine how thing become what they are. I imagine pictures of the structures being used for what they were meant, perhaps people having an elegant gala circa 1940. Then I always wish I could have time elapse photography from then to now and see the change take place.
Faceman, if you can read this please respond! EDIT: because I love Faceman and should be in NY next spring.

    http://www.preserve.org/farmcolony.htm

The New York City Farm Colony – Seaview Hospital Historic District, the first historic district in Staten Island, was designated in 1985. The district consists of the buildings and grounds of two municipal institutions sited on approximately 320 acres at the center of Staten Island. The two institutions lie across Brielle Avenue from one another. For two short periods in their history they fell under the same administration, but they were founded separately – The Seaview Hospital as a tuberculosis hospital, the Farm Colony as a poor farm.
In roughly 1975 it was closed down, I'm sure before that it wasn't in much use. Then the vandals, kids and such moved in and trashed the place. So you're looking at 25+ years of abandonment. In the picture before the bunker, we actually climbed up into there. Was pretty crazy considering the whole place was burnt and only the stairwells were left intact. Guess the floors were wood in that building.

Then the bunkers are Fort Tilden. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Tilden Those bunkers are from WW1. I thought WWII. Either way that was a nice visit, minus the poison ivy/oak/sumac/whoknowswhat that got all over my face from that day. One bunker that was pretty well hidden we had to climb into a hole then slide down a sand hill to get in. Was pretty crazy, pitch black inside.
