    Unhappy Audio Question

for some strange reason i am unable to play audio through both ie and firefox and i'm not sure how to fix it.. other apps, such as winamp and games work fine, but when i try to watch something on a video site (youtube, googlevideo, quicktime movies, etc.) i get nothing. i've reinstalled both browsers along with flashplayer and quicktime and still no go. it seems to be the browsers themselves that are refusing to play sound.

does anyone know how i could fix this gayness?

Maybe its your video codecs thats messed up. Get the K-Lite codec pack and see if that helps.

Did you try reinstalling your audio drivers?

    Try this.

Has this problem occur only after installing a certain app?

i just said fuck it and reformatted. (i was long overdue) it was most likely a driver problem.

    thanks for the help though.
