    Default Movie/Video games

Well ... First of all a Far Cry movie is being made.............

I was looking up the director ... Found out that he has made a few other movies ..... Based on video games ...

    I .. had no .. idea. ..

They made a postal movie ? POSTAL, THE MOVIE ? and not to mention, Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead, and now Far Cry..

Uwe Boll. He is, quite honestly, a horrible human being for what he's done to movie-goers.

    lol.

The the trailer for far cry looks like a cheap movie you'd watch on the sci-fi channel. I don't like movies that try to be funny.

    "Is that your gun?"

*dddrr i'm a fat dude doing gunk-fu, wwwhhhaaa whoooo ooo*

    c`mon now lol.

the music is pretty cool. Who knows, it might be kinda good.

Hitman the movie was such a piece of shit. My friend and i had just got done playing the last hit man that came out, and we just happen to walk past the movies that night and saw it.

"no way, HIT MAN THE MOVIE ??"

    2 hours later

    "dude hitman the movie sucks"

    lol

did anyone notice how that guy walked exactly like Agent 47 does in the game ? All slow and retarded in one leg. Unbelievable. If you are willing to take a role that far, why not do the same with the actor in general, like how he talks, and not to mention the whole plot of the movie.

    ahem.

What the hell were Ubisoft/Crytek thinking when they let Uwe Boll near their IP? After watching that trailer, I would be put off from ever playing Farcry if I didn't know better.

    Ughh..

That trailer looked awful. Its a shame too cause the chick is hot and the guy who plays Jack Carver is friggin great in every movie ive seen him in.

I'm actually a fan of these crappy videogame-to-film adaptations. I mean sure, the movies never follow the actual plot of any of the games, and the characters are different half the time, but it is entertaining to a point. It seems everyone bashes these movies because they expect a direct game-to-film adaptation, and get the opposite. Well welcome to Hollywood, where creative license takes a backseat to profit and the "duh duh" mass market they believe in catering to. Give it time, and people will start making good videogame movies.

As for Boll's movies... Dungeon Siege was well worth the cost of a ticket (to me) for this simple reason: it was fucking hilarious. Like an episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

The story was awful, the acting was awful, the editing/directing/and just about everything else was awful, but GOD DAMN I have never laughed so hard and for so long in a theatre in all of my life. It didn't even stop there, my friends and I laughed for over an hour AFTER we had left the theatre. I mean Burt Reynolds as the king? He looked drunk half the time hahaha.

I don't think it has anything to do with the movie not being anything like the game and more to do with the shitty to non-existent scripts, the terrible acting, and the fact that you actually paid to see it.

Its a shame that such a great actor as Tim Oliphant got such a shitty role. Seriously, this is what he's doing after Deadwood?
