Default Paranoia - You might already know about it

"Paranoia - it is a our single-player modification for Half-life. You will play the role of a russian officer of the secret service. Your first impressions are that this mission will be just like any other, but you really have no idea what nightmares future events have in store for you..."

Today, i went searching for a game to download. I was on FilePlanet, looking around and couldn't find anything that could play on my current computer system. (celeron 2.4Ghz, 1gig RAM, 128MB Nvida GPU)

I came across this Mod for Half-Life (Not HL2) that came out last year, i believe. File Planet (which I hate. Always have, always will) said that this mod puts source to shame. Ahem. I went and checked out the system specs and basically the recommended exactly what my system specs are. "Perfect"

The first 3 minutes playing this had me saying to myself "Bull shit this puts source to shame"

although its totally a half life one looking mod, it is still pretty good. For a HL mod that is.

I thought the whole game was going to be about being a Russian Spec Ops, and going from mission to mission. I was wrong. DEAD wrong.

A few times this mod made me jump out of my seat saying "GOD DAMN" thus i recommend people to download it and see what it's all about.

You have options to put on your helmet, that has a face shield, or a gas mask. You also can use Iron Sights, and the weapons are pretty cool. The AI is HL AI.

The whole game is in Russian, with English subtitles. The scripting is pretty good, and the story is good as well. I'm still playing it.

    I will d/l and take a look.

I wish STALKER hadn't been so freaking boring and felt so amateur when I played it.

    Yeah... What?

STALKER did that to me too. Parts of it hinted to greatness, but the game as a whole was a complete failure.

I have a friend who insists STALKER is the best thing ever, because it has Twilight Zone-ish endings.

That just makes it even worse in my book.
