I never had a Genesis so I never played much Sonic except at a friend's house, but this has me very excited (assuming a Wii release).

In fact, I might even go download some old Sonic games on Virtual Console right now.

i couldn't believe i rented such a thing. How horrible can you make a fucking video game ?

i rented the damn thing, played it, threw the controller on the ground, called my friend up and said "YO DUDE COME OVER I JUST RENTED SONIC FOR 360"

i sat there waiting for him to do the same as i, and sure enough he turns to me and says "no offense but this game bites"

The only two views sega could do were the side, and the back, which i think were what made sonic a good game. They took 2d and made it fun and exciting.

now, every sonic game since is all like "HEY SORRY ABOUT THE LAST SONIC GAME, DON'T WORRY THIS ONE IS BETTER"

i couldn't believe how much alike the 360 sonic was to the dreamcast sonic. Those games can burn in hell.

Ahem, now i shall click this link vandal has provided and see what is in store for the next sonic.

i just viewed the video, and i must say that this sonic game has nice clean graphics, however i can't help but wonder if it will be like the other past 3d sonic games where basically you don't control sonic and watch him do a bunch of stuff, and pretty much have to start over because you didn't know it was time to pick the controller up and press a button or two.

If this comes out on WII i'll be sure to play it over at me friends house.

Yeah, the plots have taken a nose dive and the games have been horrible. I actually
quite enjoyed Sonic Adventure 1, but everything after that was crap. The american
voice acting has gone from bad to worse, with the target age group dropping and
narrowing.

Sonic Advance 1 was the best return to form I had seen in a long time. And for the love
of pete, limit the characters to at least the main 4, and no new people. Make a simple
Eggman/Robotnik vs us kinda deal. Make the whole game playable to each character
with no switching, like Sonic 2.

They should of just kept the concept, this looks great. The visuals with the old genesis gamestyle would be ace

the last one i played was Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast i remember it distinctly. The storyline was meh., but the music, environments, and puzzles were amazing. to this day i still remember many aspects of the game and i haven't seen it in over 5 years. though i'm assuming the ones after were shitty due to the amount of 'anime' they contain.
