Wow. I'd never known Spainards to be overly racist, but then I rarely ever hear about one in the news or see one on the streets. Is this a surprising story or just business as usual for them?

I've got a friend, born in HK (to Chinese and Taiwanese parents) and raised in Spain--hates all Asians, homophobic, makes racial comments all the time. Oddly enough, his best friend in university was a black guy. Their nicknames for each other were Spasian and Cottonpicker.
