privateparts showed me this when i asked him if he had ever had the situation where his harddrive was full and he had no idea why. click on "free software" and download version 1.40
this completely shows you a very simple map of your harddrive, allowing you to visualize where your space is being sucked up, and open those folders to clear them out. just thought i'd share this nifty tip.

I've been using WinDirStat but this sounds like it works about the same.
It's alarming sometimes to see just how many of some weird files you can acquire over the years.

on my games drive, Steam is by biggest folder at 89 gigs...
videos folder, Animaniacs at 78 gigs

Movies folders 598 gig.
Porn folder (not telling you!)
Games: 25 gig.
