    Default 2nd Amendment

I support this lady. Not only for standing up for what she believes in but for doing so in a civil manner.

And I agree with what she says.

Damn. I'm not all about guns, and I'm chill with not having them around, but that lady was pretty rad.

Same here, my problem is, if the government passes laws making it illegal for us to even own a gun, that just leaves us wide open for the ones who already have them illegally. It makes no never mind to them.

Just out of curio, are there any statistics to show how many of these massacre style shootings was actually carried out by illegal purchased guns vs legal guns?

That's a good question, come to think of it. Off-hand I only know that the guns obtained for the Columbine shooting were illegal. And any shooting where the shooter was already a convicted felon and/or dishonorably discharged makes them acquired illegally by default.

Just be interesting to look up. The two big massacres we had in the UK which got assault rifles and then pistols banned were both carried out with legally owned weapons.

First Hungerford in 1987 where a guy went on a shooting spree around town with a Type 56 assault rifle, M1 carbine and Beretta 92, killing 17 (including self) and wounding 15. Then Dunblane in 1996 where a former Scout leader shot up a school of 5/6 year olds with two 9 mm Browning HP pistols and two Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolvers, killing 18 (including self) and wounding again 15.

Isn't the chance of saving two people worth risking the life of one?

Kinda hard to judge in this case, as it's not really risk one life for two. Scenario one, she kills the gunman, saves herself and her parents. Scenario two, she misses, he kills her and now is looking right at her parents, therefore her gamble has resulted in three deaths. Like with the stabbing thread, at the end of the day no one knows how they'd react until their in the situation, and events as dramatic as these can't really be second guessed with 'what ifs'.

Point, but I'm not limiting my view to just massacre style shootings, mostly what I'm referring to by illegal are the guns that were stolen. There are quite a few cases here where the guns have been stolen off the cops belts or someone's gun safe and never retrieved.
