Beta leaked, do you release the final?

Some beta software to load Wii ISOs on a non-modded Wii was leaked. It's an early version and doesn't load Wii ISOs yet. Now that it was leaked the original coder is crying foul and refusing to release the final version. Now this sounds like a total 2 year old move to me. Either he's a whiner elitist or his final never really did load ISOs.

Which means a beta tester leaked it and they are to blame. Which is also yourself to blame since you trusted him. I'm not buying the excuse that his account was hacked since it came with a readme.

We wouldn't have a ton of games nor software if so. DoD to name one.

Either way, would you ever consider not releasing your final if the beta was leaked?

No. I'm pretty sure if it got leaked and there was some sort of legal recourse against the beta testers I might go that route. But for the most part, it's leaked, it DOESN'T DO WHAT THE FINAL VERSION WILL DO, so fuck it. Something like that will probably get pirated within a week of release anyway, so who cares?

not sure if there can be legal action if what he was doing was illegal in the first place. im a little drunk still so i may have read it wrong.

also, i think he's bluffing. he spent all that time working on it and now isn't going to release it? so he wasted his time? fuck him, he's lying. sounds like a total baby
