    Default Kitchen Experiment: Bacon Brownies

Well as some of you may have noticed, I have been posting a lot of bollocks recently...this is due to me being ill, and when you can't really see your friends through the fear of giving them man-aids, you have to find things to do! This is one of the things I came up with....

I've had bacon with chocolate before, sounds revolting but the combination actually works. I love chocolate and I love bacon so thought "meh, lets combine the two!"

    I found some bacon!

...and some brownie mix (actually, I had to go to the shop to buy this!)

Got the ingredients I needed together: Vegetable oil, brownie mix, 1 egg, water and of course, bacon! I used 4 slices for this particular occasion. At this stage, I also preheated the oven (350F or whatever the packet recommends)

Stir the mixture together until thick and creamy (+ shiny!)

At this stage, any other ingredients you may want to add are optional...I found this green looking herb stuff in my car, no idea what it is but heard it goes good in brownies

Fry the bacon how you like it done but don't completely cook it as the oven should finish the job...I just put a bit of vegetable oil in, cranked the heat up max (I like it to sizzle!) and put it on for a couple of minutes

Put on some kitchen roll for a bit so some of the fat drips out

Line a baking tray with butter and pour just under half of the mixture into it, add the bacon on top. I debated whether to chop it up or just line it and thought this would be the best way

Pour rest of the mixture over and place in over for recommended cooking time on packet (25m)

Remove from oven, leave to cool, cut them up and enjoy!!

THEY ARE GOOD! I do recommend a slightly bigger baking tray, but unfortunately the one I used was the only one in the house that I could find!
