vista halp ?

i'll start off by saying that vista allows me to have crazy desktop icons called gadgets. looks -->

as you can see, in spawns left hand is a clock, in his right hand, a firefox "icon", i also have a word bubble that you type text in and it reads it back to you etc etc....

ahem, so yeah i like my new look, however i've noticed something strange. i just reinstalled windows (today) and for some reason my toolbars, and task bars are not see through anymore ! i miss that :\ anyone know how to get that working ?

right click the task bar, select tool bars and click 'quick launch' i am assuming. Though im drunk.

what i mean to say is, the borders around windows, and my taskbar in general, use to have opacity, and i could see through it, and see my wallpaper and stuff.

i already have quick launch checked off. isnt that something to do with having icons on your taskbar er someting ?

vista broke a bunch of icons last few updates ago for me.

there are a few things about it that pisses me off though i doubt ill go back to xp.

Like how the picture viewer fucks up how the picture actually looks like. They try to make it look 'better' which sometimes makes it look worse. and if you do a full screen preview its ALWAYS blurry.

just one of many annoyances with vista.

yeah vista has some stuff that pisses me off too, and like you i will never go back to XP. XP really really sucks once you've gone vista. believe it or not, XP gives more errors per second then vista does. not to mention how slow XP is in certain things.
