    Default Corrupted movie files

I had a hard drive go south on me but before it really got bad I managed to copy some of the files and also managed to retrieve a deleted partitions files.

The files are now recovered but some work and some do. When I try to load the ones that are corrupted it brings me up an error saying the file extension is wrong using WMP and says would I liek to open it anyways.

Doesnt work when I open it, it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."

I recall there was some kinda proggie that would fix these, or am I mistaken. The other files seem to be ok, just the movie files are bad.

    VirtualDub.

That is if they are AVIs. Then you can do a direct stream copy without having to re-encode.

Sweet faceman, I didn't know that.
I don't mean to upset people, but I must speak my mind. For what's in my mind is far more interesting than what's outside my mind.
