    Default Components as a Team

I've finally learned the value of the weakest link in computing. Your computer is only as awesome as its shittiest component.

My laptop (my only computer atm) has 2 gigs of RAM. I had forgotten about that. I thought it only had one because of the devil of a time it has running a five year old game like Rome: Total War.

Well, turns out it's other stuff. 1.73 Ghz Celeron is holding me back.

ALSO the shittastic onboard video card that uses the RAM for its processing power.

I know I still wouldn't be able to, say, run Empire: Total War if I threw an independent video card in there...but maybe it's worth it?

A couple hundred now for a better experience with what I have?

Or bite the bullet and just wait until a whole new system is feasible?

(This computer is great for a tappy-typey machine...which is why I bought it.)

With a laptop, upgrading the video card is difficult or just not possible, depending on the model. Ultimately it would be wasted money, save up until you can afford a desktop rig(assuming that gaming will be your main goal since you brought up E:TW).

Yeah. Thinking I'm seeing the light.

It just makes me because right now I'm all emo and feeling like I'm going to be broke for the rest of my life.

Whatdya expect from a drama fag, though, eh?

It doesn't really matter what you do as long as this is running everything... 1.73 Ghz Celeron

Yeah, that's where most of the weeping and gnashing of teeth is coming from. It's definitely a laundry list / college term paper kind of laptop

If you're really desperate for money, just do a few Uwe Boll films.

See, funny thing about that, Maxey...just because they're crappy movies doesn't mean there aren't 800 actors beating down the door for every part.

Half to Most actors will do anything if it pays (and don't give a shit about the source material they're collectively spooging all over in the process).
