OK I can't for the love of my figure out how that shit works. I am in Japan so I type in both English and Japanese, hence the need to switch to the Japanese langauge / keyboard layout every now and then. I usually either just click on the blue EN symbol and switch it to JP or use a keyboard shortcut I set up for it.
Now, in Japanese, there are a few input modes. Direct input which is basically english typing, and hiragana + others - japanese characters. What I want.
Normally, you have a few icons on the lanaguge bar that let you switch between the input modes.
Like this:
Not Today!
Every now and then my language bar decides to not include those and I can't switch to a different input mode. The default is always direct input (even though I set it to hiragana in the options which the language bar conveniently ignores), which means I can't type japanese at all since I can't fucking change it. I have to reboot and hope it doesn't happen again.
anyone has an idea why this happens? how can I stop the bar from being retarded?
EDIT: Yes, "Show additional icons on language bar" is checked
