on a more serious note, it's important to never believe anything you read on conservapedia - because it really is all bullshit written by crazies. Infact, it's best not to look at it as doing so will make you lose a little faith in humanity.

Interesting.
The main issue is the fact that the bible is open to interpretation. Therefore the translator can add his own bias to it. Which has happened before. Here's an example:
The Johovas came to my door to discuss religion. I'm allways nice to them since I want to see how their view on the scripture is. Since I'm agnostioc I do not believe in organized religion. Why the fuck should I repent, suffer and follow thier guidlines just so I can go to paradise after I die? I believe the world after this shure won't be paradise. Especialy when it's interpritated to control people.

Ok we start talking about revelations. So the JOHO reads a passage.
Something like this:
"And god will bring peace to the earth. There will be no pain and no death."
So the Joho interpreted it as god will rid humans of pain and death on the earth.
I interpreted it as god will whipe us off the earth and take us to paradise.
My argument was thet things have been dying on this planet for millions of years. Scientificly speeking immortality for celular organisms is impossible. Unless god manipulates the genetic code. But the aging process deteriorates cells so it may be impossible to stop. But like I said, if he didn't do it for any other species. Why us?

I think there is more 'liberal bias' to every version of the Bible than these people want to admit. If someone strikes you, let him strike you again rather than strike back. Never kill, ever, seriously. Love your friends and enemies alike. Your money is God's to begin with, treat it like it is. Most large(and many small) churches I've looked at all seem to miss most of these messages.
