Friends, to me!

I'm looking for a basic (fully featured) program that will burn media files (divx, avi, wmv etc.) to a disc capable of playing on any dvd/vcd player. Sounds easy enough but I haven't had much luck finding anything myself. I know you chaps have some answers for me.
